Princess Cruises Vegan Friendly

Cruising and food seem to go hand in hand, and the Princess Cruise Lines take food seriously. They cater to special requests, especially when it comes to food. Special meals are made with as much attention to detail and flavor as any of the Princess Lines’ regular dishes. Meals simply need to be pre-ordered 4 weeks prior to setting sail. They can accommodate Kosher, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Diabetic, Salt free and Vegan. The culinary achievements of the food and beverage staff have ranked the cruise line among the most exclusive eateries at sea, offering a wide variety of menus to suit nearly every palate.

The chef prepares a list of treats daily, made with only the freshest of ingredients. Lunch may be kasha rolls with mustard sauce and vegetable paella, followed by blueberry peach crumble for dessert.  You can even take a class in vegan or macrobiotic cooking while on the ship. They also offer yoga, pilates and other healthy lifestyle classes. Even if you haven’t pre-ordered, you can “special request” a certain dish and if possible they’ll make it happen. Keep your daily breakfast light with a myriad of fresh fruits or try the tofu scramble with mushrooms, onions and peppers.

Selections vary daily especially for dinner. There are always a few tasty selections for vegans. If looking for light fare or you’re calorie conscious, there are plenty of options. Princess Lines tries to impress and will do what it can for the vegan passenger. Some choice selections are portabella mushrooms with pasta, vegetable wellington with coos, and asparagus with risotto.  There are also some wonderful seasonal soups on the menu including apple watermelon gazpacho, and of course there’s always a gourmet mix of salad greens with fresh vegetables and fruits along with lots of wonderful dressings and dips.

Princess allows its guests to dine al fresco or in the air conditioned dining room. 24 hour room service is also available to the vegan diner. There are specialty food nights as well which center around a food theme such as Asian Cuisine – always with vegan options included.
