Gluten Dairy Sugar Free Recipes


When it comes to desserts, most of them pretty much blow our diets but there is such a thing as healthy great tasting desserts? There are actually gluten dairy sugar free recipes that will excite your taste buds. Below are some delicious desserts that you won’t feel guilty eating.

Chocolate Chips

In a bowl, combine ½ cup of cocoa powder, ¼ cup of melted butter, 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1/8 – ¼ cup of honey/agave(measured to taste) and stir until well blended. Using a cake icing decorating bag, slowly squeeze out chocolate into the shape of a chip onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.

These easy to make chocolate chips can then be added into your favorite dessert recipes or eaten alone as a snack.

Chocolate-Dipped Coconut Macaroons

Mix together 5 cups of shredded unsweetened coconut, 1 ½ cups sweetened coconut cream, ½ teaspoon salt and 1/3 coconut powder until well blended. Then, add in 1/3 cup of coconut milk powder and stir until completely blended. Using an ice cream scooper, scoop 1 ½ inch balls of the sticky mixture and place on baking sheets about 1 inch apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, remove and cool.

In the meantime, prepare the coating by heating 1 ½ cups of semi-sweet sugar free chocolate chips, 2 ½ tablespoons of butter or margarine and 2 tablespoons honey until the chips are soft using the microwave or a saucepan. After the macaroons are completely cooled, dip half of each into the chocolate mixture, place back on the baking sheet and allow to settle before serving.

This recipe makes 33 macaroons and they will stay fresh for 2-3 days if stored in a tightly closed container. These delicious chocolate-dipped macaroons are a great option for anyone looking for gluten dairy sugar free recipes.

Maple Cashew Cookies

In one bowl, mix together ½ teaspoon baking soda, ½ cup sugar free maple syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla, ½ cup cashew butter and 2 tablespoons of melted butter or oil. In another bowl, combine 1 cup sorghum flour, ½ teaspoon baking soda, ¼ teaspoon of sea salt and ¼ teaspoon of xanthan gum. Combine the two bowls together until well mixed.

Roll dough into small balls and then flatten out onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Use a fork to make prints in the cookies. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 10-11 minutes. Be sure not to overcook because they will end up being too hard. Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
